So, I'm back at school! Started up again yesterday. Some interesting surprises, but I've leaned not to expect things to go the way you think they're going to. Firstly, it turns out that for some reason the teacher who was going to teach my Fantasy in Literature and Film class couldn't teach it, so, instead of canceling the class they got a new teacher and changed it to Rock n' Roll History and Culture. Personally, I think it will be equally as interesting. I mean we listen to music for homework and discuss some really interesting stuff that has effected our culture so profoundly. Then there was Bio...I'm not a science person, and it turns out I got into the Bio class geared towards smart people. I'm thinking I might have to switch out and find something else. I'm going to talk it over with my adviser and then take it from there. I'm also taking a Film Appreciation class and a Gender Studies class.
On a lighter note, I guess. I'm still pretty excited from Obama's inauguration yesterday. I got to watch most of it in between my classes and I found it very inspirational and moving. I think the US really came together yesterday, and I was so happy to and excited to see Obama sworn in, I really think he has the potential to pick this country back up and get it going in the right direction again.
In other news, I have been drawing, I promise, and I'm hoping to get something uploaded in a week or so. I'm still experimenting with more realistic styled work. My activity has been...lacking, but I really hope to change that.
Devious Comments
When a class sounds fun, like the Rock 'n Roll one, in my experience it turns out being harder than I think. (aka, Intro to Film - talking about and watching movies, but... it was hard... Loved the little book about movies, though.) But, other times I've had classes that were really fun. I guess it's all about who teaches what. ^_^" If the Bio class has a good teacher (who doesn't talk in monotone, because I have a teacher like that this time, and I've fallen asleep 2 out of 3 times - and the time I didn't fall asleep, I was daydreaming and the class time was also cut short for a quiz) anyhow, if it's a good teacher the Bio class might work. (although... one time I had an interesting teacher, but she seemed to think I came into the class knowing everything already, and all but one or two people were very confused most of the time. If the Bio class is for people who know most of it already then maybe it could be best for another one, then...)

I was sorry to have missed the first part of the speech, but it was really great. I have hopes he can do a lot of good. That is if people stop picking of every single thing he does and making his life a million times harder. They started picking on him because he took his suit jacket off in the Oval Office. Can you believe that?
